Martin Gorz

Unity Developer

About Me

I’m a passionate game developer transitioning from web development into interactive and immersive experiences. Over the last few months I’ve been honing my skills in game programming and Unity tool creation, building prototypes that blend mechanics, visuals and polish. My brand name is Martin Gorz, while my legal name is Mohammad Goudarzi.

Before focusing on games I delivered web projects for clients. For Rahimi Driving Institution I rebuilt a 36‑page site, added SMS login, online booking and migrated over 12 k users to a new database while leading a team of four. At Shahab Sazan Noor I built a corporate site on WordPress and trained staff in Elementor. These experiences strengthened my coding, project management and collaboration skills—abilities I now apply to game development.

I’m excited to join a studio where creativity and continuous learning matter. Let’s build something incredible together.

3D Space‑Shooter Prototype

I'm developing a 3D space‑shooter prototype in Unity to strengthen my game‑dev skills. So far I’ve implemented smooth ship controls using Unity’s new Input System, custom crosshair and responsive shooting, an animated scoreboard with dynamic UI effects, a modular enemy system with hit points and VFX, and timeline‑driven cinematic moments. The game is evolving as I iterate on enemy movement, UI animations and overall gameplay depth—each iteration helps me grow as a Unity developer.

Sustainable Game Design Inspiration

As an indie dev in Ottawa, I found Katoa: Oceans from Snowed In Studios truly inspiring. It shows how environmental sustainability can be woven into game design at every level. Seeing fellow developers integrate meaningful themes into their work encourages me to think beyond mechanics and visuals, and to consider the broader impact of the worlds we build.
